The August Adventure Sail is set to take us to Dunk Island for a weekend of sailing and camping adventures. Join us for a good old fashioned sailing adventure in our island backyard. 

All who attend sailing or social must be a current member of a sailing club or have a 2-day Sail Pass (register for your Sail Pass prior to event registration). 

Food options:

• The Club will provide a fundraiser BBQ & cold drinks during the Saturday & Sunday lunch break on the island, 
• MBSC kettle will be available to use at camp kitchen,
• BYO using the camp kitchen BBQs, and / or
• Treat yourself - Dunk Island Restaurant open for lunch & dinner.

Entries are $20 boat and will include two days of sailing and the transfers of camp gear to and from the island. 

Please confirm your camping in the registration process. Camping per night is $40 / groups of 3+ people and $25 per single / couple. 

Stinger protection is always recommended by MBSC, so please cover up!

Adventure schedule

Saturday 22nd Aug

9AM - Briefing at the Club.

9:30AM - Camp gear loading and transfer to Dunk (can do additional PM transfer if need be).

10:30AM - Adventure start.

Lunch at Dunk Island (MBSC BBQ & drinks available).

1:30PM - PM briefing.

2PM - Afternoon session "Le Mans" start from landward end of jetty.

Sunday 23rd Aug:

9:30AM - Morning session.

12PM - Lunch at Dunk Island (MBSC BBQ & drinks available)

1:30PM - Sail to Club for derig.

2PM - Camping gear transferred back to mainland.

All participants must be a current member of a sailing club or sign up for a SailPass to participate in this event. Register for your Sail Pass prior to event registration.

MBSC will have limited padding available to pull boats up on beach at Dunk. If padding is essential for your boat, please BYO to avoid missing out. Load any padding onto the support vessel for the morning island taxi run.

On Sunday afternoon, join us in the boat park back on the mainland for the derig social. Cold beverages will be available for purchase.

Weather & Cancellation Policy

Should you need to cancel, a refund can be provided if notice is received at least 3 days prior to the event. Eco Tent cancellations to go through Dunk Island Group.

The event may be postponed or cancelled no later than 3 days prior to the event if unsuitable weather conditions prevail. This will be communicated via email, on our website and Facebook page. Refunds will apply.
