Mission Beach Sailing Club

Membership Options

Some helpful info you'll need before applying as a new member or for a temporary SailPass:

When applying for a new membership you will need to fill out the new member application form and email it to info@missionbeachsailingclub.com.au.

The application asks that you are proposed by a current Club member. If you are new to the area and / or do not know any of our members, there is a 3-SailPass system to follow before submitting an application. This will give you the opportunity to be proposed by a current Club member. Pro-rata memberships may be available at the committee's discretion.

For those who have been a member of a sailing club in the past, your Australian Sailing (AS) number can be retrieved by using just your name on the Australian Sailing website. You will need this number to complete your application.

All applications will be processed at the next committee meeting. You will be notified of the outcome via email and if successful, you will be sent an invoice.

SailPass (temporary membership)

SailPass is a means by which a person who is not a Sailing Member of an affiliated club can go sailing at our club by offering temporary membership. Each SailPass registration is valid for one day only. You will need to register again for subsequent days. Our Club has a 3-SailPass maximum per person. Therafter you will be asked to apply for Club membership. Click HERE to register for a SailPass.

Club membership payment

Club memberships are transacted via the RevSport payment gateway (standard transaction fees apply) and include affiliation with Australian Sailing (AS). The Club would prefer direct deposit (account details HERE) - this will help us both avoid the transaction fees. Information on your new AS affiliation will be automatically sent to you by email on reciept of your club membership payment.

Club membership renewals are invoiced annually on 1st September. Please make any changes to your email address or other contact details by logging in (top right on this webpage) using your AS login credentials.

MBSC offers a family membership. If this option doesn't fit your tribe, contact us and we will try to acoomodate you. Any queries with the process contact info@missionbeachsailingclub.com.au.

Members must agree to abide by our Constitution, By Laws and Code of Conduct (as outlined in our Member Protection Policy).
